Probably the biggest event in this town is the 4th, and this year is no exception. The weather's looking to be decent, so get out and enjoy the activities down at Memorial Park! Here's a quick rundown:

8-8:30 - Stollin' Jeff Wolin at the Park Gazebo (kids' songs)
8-9 - Fishing Derby
8-10 - pancake breakfast at the senior center
9-9:30 - Celtic Step Irish Dancers at the Park Gazebo
9-3 - Farmer's market on South Ave.
9-11:30 - mountain acoustic music, at the food court stage
9:30 - owner/dog look-a-like contest (main lawn)
10-11 - cards and board games (senior center)
10:15 - 11:00 - clothes pin race, duck duck goose, egg race (main lawn)
11:30 - wagons and wheels parade
11:30 - Tae Kwon Do (main lawn)
12:00 - flag raising at the gazebo, with the Woodland Park wind symphony
12:15 - Hula Hoop contest, 3 legged race, sack race (main lawn)
1-3 - Karaoke at the food court stage
1:00-1:15 - Karate (main lawn)
1:15-1:45 - Swing Factory at the Park Gazebo
1:45-2:15 - Karate (main lawn)
2:15-3:00 - Woodland Park Community Singers at the Park Gazebo
2:15-3:00 - relays: bucket brigade bat spin, sack race (main lawn)

And of course fire engine rides, volleyball tournament, dodgeball, horseshoes, basketball, artists, crafts, live music, food, games and more!

So awesome to see these things in our town. Now if I had only gotten my a** out the door and participated. We were with friends in Palmer Lake instead. But Strollin' Jeff Wolin rocks! 8)

You missed out, it was great! 
 
We enjoyed Jeff's music, too, it's great kids music especially as it deals with science and nature, not singing dinosaurs or other unintelligent songs.
