Apple blows. :0)

Seriously I love Apple. I was all Apple from my first II+ to my last Mac in the mid 1990s. Great technology, great products. Let's be honest though - if Microsoft & IBM had been that tight fisted with the licensing of the PC platform their systems would be bombproof too. But we wouldn't have the huge massive aftermarket of PC components we have either, and frankly I like the variety third party companies add to the mix.

I do agree that the stability of Windows PCs would be better if Microsoft could control the hardware. The Apple OS is just light years better than Windows, it's not just a stability issue. It's usability, intuitiveness, security, things like that which have nothing to do with hardware.

Ah I don't know I have always found Windows to be just fine to tell you the truth. Things like useability and intuitiveness are subjective of course. It all depends on what you do with the system. As for security no doubt Microsoft has had some huge holes to deal with. But I also think they get an extraordinary amount of attention from the hacker/cracker community because they're the big cheese. Kind of like how Wal-Mart takes all the heat even though their pay and benefits are actually no worse (and sometimes better) than many of their competitors.
