A feature-film to be filmed locally is seeking actors and extras, all high-school age, for filming in February.  Details of the movie are sparse, all they say is that the film 'will take place in a High School and wood areas around Woodland Park' so it's not clear if they're using the local high school, or one down in the springs.  They're looking for ten main actors, and ten extras, all age 15-18.  With compensation listed as 'meals and finished DVD of the film', this doesn't sound like the next Hollywood blockbuster, but could be good experience for those aspiring movie stars (a Craigslist ad indicates this will be shown at many Film Festivals worldwide).  Follow this link for more details.

I did a little more digging, and found that this film is being produced by Papercut Productions; a Google search revealed quite a few companies with that name so it's hard to say for certain who's behind this.

An older job posting for the same movie implies that all filming will indeed be in Woodland Park (link).

A similar post (link) is also looking for actors for a feature film around the same timeframe (in the Denver area though, not Colorado Springs), though this one is specifically seeking the following: vampires (bald with shaved eyebrows!), Chiba farmers, Amazon warriors, Vikings, Persian barmaids, Berbers, Nubians, Mongolians, Pirates, and Townspeople (though you must be between 18-35 for any of those roles).  It does make me wonder, is this for the same movie as is being filmed in Woodland Park?  If so, that must be one strange plot.
