Much of the town awoke this morning to find they had little to no water coming out of their taps, when a 30 year old plastic water main broke along highway 24. Schools were delayed two hours, and traffic on hwy 24 was affected as well. Water service to most dwellings has been restored, though a dozen or so may be without water for most of the day. You can read more in the Gazette.
UPDATE - most of the town is being advised to boil water before drinking, until further notice. You can read the official notice, and see a map of the affected area, here.
UPDATE - The boil order has been canceled!
