The large natural gas compressor, installed in the Stone Ridge neighborhood by Black Hills without the proper permits, is here to stay, for now at least. After the city council denied an application for a Conditional Use Permit, Black Hills took the city to court and has won the first round, with the judge deferring the decision to the state public utilities commission. Don't expect a decision from them to come quickly (summertime might be a more realistic goal). You can read more in the Courier.
