It's a tough climb, but at the top you'll be rewarded with great views of the AFA as well as Pikes Peak.

Walk west across Academy Drive to dirt road, which leads up towards Eagle Peak. After around a quater mile, veer right at a power transformer, then veer left at the next fork in the road. The trail will be a few meters farther along, marked by a sign. Eventually you'll get to a small meadow with aspen, veer left on the trail there.
