The Shining Mountain Golf Club has been purchased (for an undisclosed price) and will reopen this year, probably around Memorial Day. It will remain a public golf course, with fees of $35-45 (not including golf cart rental. As part of the new ownership plan, they'll be building 283 new homes adjacent to the course, comprised on patio homes on the east side starting at about $350,000, and single family homes on the west side priced from $500,000 and up. These homes will start becoming available this fall. The course itself will receive some minor changes, and the clubhouse will grow from 6,000 to 10,000 square feet. (via The Gazette)
